United Arab Emirates July 2026: Mitsubishi Outlander storms into pole position

The Mitsubishi Outlander is the best-selling vehicle in the UAE in July.

New car sales in the United Arab Emirates fall by a harsh -15.8% year-on-year in July to 20,420 units, bringing the year-to-date tally down -24.4% to 137,144. Toyota (-36.7%) even though imploding year-on-year, manages to still hold 20.8% of the market, a distant #1 above Mitsubishi (+140.2%) in stunning health at #2 and 13.9% share vs. 9.8% YTD. Nissan (-23.2%) underperforms but is up one spot on June to #3 with 13.2% of the market. Jetour (+9.8%) is back down to #4 after ranking #2 in June. BYD stays at #5 with 4.7% share, with three other Chinese newcomers making it into the Top 15: Chery (#11), Denza (#12) and Jaecoo (#14).

Model-wise, the Mitsubishi Outlander (+696.7%) storms into pole position and ranks #3 year-to-date vs. #12 over the Full Year 2025. #1 in June, the Toyota Hilux (-37.1%) drops to #2, a ranking it also holds year-to-date below the Nissan Patrol (-21%), back up one on June to #3. Nissan also places the Sunny (-7.8%) at #4, up 8 spots on last month. The Jetour T2 (-38.4%) is in difficulty at #5 but the Land Rover Defender (+30.9%) climbs to #7 overall for the month. Notice also the new Jetour G700 up to a highest ever 8th place.
