Ecuador June 2026: Market up 44.1%, Chevrolet Groove up to #2

The Chevrolet Groove is the 2nd best-selling vehicle in Ecuador in June.

Ecuador is back on BSCB with June data. The market surges 44.1% year-on-year to 14,412 units for the month, leading to a H1 volume up 41.4% to 78,185. Kia (+32.7%) is now established in the brands top spot with 15.8% share, distancing Chevrolet (+40%) at 11.2%. GWM (+69.6%) confirms its third position while Toyota (+25.5%) advances to #4. BYD (+155%) delivers the biggest YoY gain in the Top 10 and climbs to 5th place overall with 5% share. Without surprise, the Chinese deliver the biggest upticks: Changan (+241.2%), MG (+207.3%), Sinotruk (+153.9%), Dongfeng (+80.1%), Jetour (+80%), DFSK (+60.3%) and JAC (+58%) all shine.

Model-wise, the Kia Soluto (+15.9%) is solidly installed in the pole position with 6.6% share for the month and 7.4% year-to-date. The Chevrolet Groove (+47.4%) makes its way up to 2nd place both in June and year-to-date vs. #4 over the Full Year 2025. The Kia Sonet (+17.3%) closes out the podium, relegating the Chevrolet D-Max (-3.7%) – leader for 3 years up to 2024 – down to #4. The GWM Poer (+38.5%) and Wingle (+66.7%) follow, wit the Chery Arrizo (+95.8%) also in fantastic shape. BYD places two models in the YTD top 5 by segment: the Yuan Pro is #5 SUV and the Seagull is #4 passenger car.
