Netherlands June 2026: Toyota C-HR+ up to #4, BMW iX3 inside Top 10

The BMW iX3 spectacularly enters the Dutch Top 10 in June.

New car sales in the Netherlands gain a sturdy 13.4% year-on-year in June to 39,015 units, however the H1 2026 tally is in negative at -4.2% to 174,789. Over the First Half of the year, hybrids account for 53.9% of the market at 94,258 units, BEVs are at 36.5% and 63,776 sales, petrol is at 8% and 14,005 units, diesel at 1.2% with 2,103 sales and LPG at 0.4% with 645 sales.

Toyota (+62.7%) surges ahead to the brands pole position for the first time since last September, accounting for 9.5% share. Leader last month and year-to-date, Kia (+8.7%) falls to #3 while Renault (+4.1%) is up one spot on May to #3. BMW (+8.8%) advances to #4, distancing Volvo (+29.9%) and Volkswagen (-7.9%). Tesla (+4.1%) repeats at #7 just as Hyundai (+24.8%) signs a dynamic month at #10. Further down, BYD is up 200% to break all its records at #12 with 1,236 sales and 3.2% share. Leapmotor (+614.7%), Cupra (+97.4%) and Opel (+53.9%) also make themselves noticed below.

The Toyota C-HR+ is up to a world best #4 in the Netherlands in June.

Looking at the models charts, the Tesla Model Y (+29.4%) scores its second win of the year after last March. It snaps the YTD lead as a result but only three sales above the Toyota Aygo X (+75.9%) which also ranks #2 for the month. Leader in May, the Kia Picanto (+5.6%) falls to #3. By far the best performing recent launch in the country, the Toyota C-HR+ surges 13 spots on last month to #4 with 1.7% share. The next five models all post sensational results. The BMW iX3 (+3878.6%) is the most spectacular, up 16 ranks to #9 for the nameplate’s first ever Top 10 finish, this all thanks to its striking new generation. The Hyundai Kona (+155.4%), Volvo XC60 (+119.2%), Toyota Yaris (+74.9%) and Renault Clio (+36%) also impress. The Cupra Raval lands directly at #21 for its first month in market while the Renault 4 is up to #30, a much better level than at home in France.
