Lebanon H1 2026: Sales up 30.9%, Toyota Land Cruiser on top
The Toyota Land Cruiser is the best-selling vehicle in Lebanon so far this year.
The Lebanese new light vehicle market goes against the Middle Eastern gloom with a 30.9% year-on-year rise over H1 to 11,357 units. However this is a mere catching up as H1 2025 volumes were down -29.7% on the year prior. Toyota (+90.2%) surges ahead and sees its share fly off from 33.4% a year ago to 48.6%. Sister brand Lexus (+158.4%) does even better and climbs to 7.3% share vs. 3.7% over H1 2025, up five spots to #2. This means the Toyota Group holds 55.9% of the Lebanese market so far in 2026 vs. 37.1% a year ago. Nissan (+19.5%) steps up one spot to #3, toppling Kia (-28%) in complete freefall. Hyundai (+115.4%) also beat the market and rounds out the Top 5, with Jetour (+33%) also strong at #7.
Over in the models charts, the Toyota Land Cruiser (+253.8%) posts a surreal gain that enables it to surpass the Toyota Hilux (+15.2%) to #1. The Toyota Prado (+133.3%) is up three spots on a year ago, distancing the Lexus LX (+154.6%) up 7 to #4 and the Toyota Yaris Sedan (+102.1%) up 9 to #5. The Range Rover (+73.2%) also stands out at #7 vs. #13 a year ago and #14 over the Full Year 2025. The Toyota Coaster (+267.1%) rounds out the Top 10 in spectacular fashion. Notice also the Nissan Magnite (+547.1%), Lexus NX (+231.6%) and Hyundai i10 (+224.6%).
