Lebanon Q1 2026: Toyota Land Cruiser topples Hilux in market up 34.2%

The Toyota Land Cruiser is #1 in Lebanon so far in 2026.

Contrary to other markets in the region so far, new car sales in Lebanon are euphoric over Q1 at +34.2% to 5,237 units. However keep in mind Q1 2025 was off -40.5% on the year prior, so the 2026 result is a mere adjustment and remains below 2024 levels. The Top 4 carmakers all lodge surreal YoY gains. Toyota is up 109.7% to 48.5% share vs. 31% a year ago, Nissan is up 162.4% to 8.9% vs. 4.6%, Lexus is up 258.5% to 8.4% vs. 3.2% and Jetour up 73.6% to 4.3% vs. 3.3%. In contrast Kia (-29.7%) and Suzuki (-45.6%) are both hit hard below. Notice also Land Rover (+85.1%) and MG (+51.2%) in excellent shape while Geely (+118.4%) gains seven spots to #11.

Model-wise, Toyota logically monopolises the podium with the Land Cruiser (+345.9%) in the lead, toppling the Hilux (+29.7%) trailing the market. The Prado (+345.5%) rounds out the podium ahead of the Lexus LX (+308%) and Nissan Patrol (+258.8%).
