Croatia January 2025: VW T-Cross hits record share
The VW T-Cross is the best-selling vehicle in Croatia in January.
Something very rare: in January the Croatian new car market is absolutely identical to a year ago: 4,461 sales vs. 4,461… Volkswagen (+63.1%) surges ahead to 12.3% share vs. 11.6% over the Full Year 2024, and is followed by last year’s leader Skoda (-14.1%) in difficulty this month. Suzuki (+8.5%) advances to #3, pushing Dacia (-0.3%) down to #4. Opel (-18.1%) and Toyota (-15.4%) struggle whereas Kia (+42.9%) and Hyundai (+8.2%) shine. Further down, Geely (+155.6%), Ford (+89.2%), Land Rover (+65%) and Cupra (+46.3%) stand out.
Model-wise, the VW T-Cross (+721.9%) spectacularly soars up to a record 5.9% share on a particularly low base as it would end the 2024 year at #2. The Suzuki Vitara (+48%) loses the top spot it held in November and December but still evolves one percentage point above its FY2024 share at 4.2%. The Opel Corsa (-39.7%) returns inside the Top 20 at #3 but suffers greatly year-on-year as it led the charts outright in January 2024. The Skoda Octavia (-28.7%) starts the year weakly unlike the Kodiaq (+143.4%) up to #5.
Previous month: Croatia Full Year 2024: Skoda Octavia and VW T-Cross top market up 12.5%
One year ago: Croatia January 2024: Opel Corsa tops market up 33.3%
