Finland November 2023: Skoda (+85.8%), Tesla (+127.4%), Hyundai (+262.3%) impress
The Skoda Enyaq is now #3 year-to-date in Finland.
The Finnish new car market advances a timid 4.4% year-on-year in November to 6,592 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 8.4% to 80,363. Toyota retracts -7.5% but keeps the brands top spot with 17.4% share, that’s even better than its YTD level of 16.7%. Skoda (+85.8%) almost doubles its sales year-on-year to stay in 2nd place both for November and YTD. Volvo (-12.7%) is down significantly on last year but holds 9.4% of the market vs. 8.4% so far this year. Kia (+20.6%) roads out the Top 5 with a solid gain. Tesla (+127.4%) is up seven spots on last month to #6 and 6.6%. No additional Top 10 member beat the market. Hyundai (+262.3%), Cupra (+350%) and Land Rover (+176.9%) impress below.
Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla (+7.5%) holds onto the pole position but the three following vehicles are catching up with 100%+ surges. The Skoda Octavia (+120.5%) is up two spots on November to #2, the Tesla Model Y (+109.7%) is up 8 to #3 and the Skoda Enyaq (+128%) is down one to #4 but accesses the third spot YTD as a result. The Volvo C40 (+90.4%) also posts an extravagant year-on-year uptick at #9. The Kia Ceed (+18.4%) and Vivo XC40 (+17.6%) beat the market while the Toyota Yaris Cross (+4.9%) matches it.
