The Dacia Sandero is the best-selling vehicle in Croatia in August.

The Croatian new car market advances 8.4% year-on-year in August to 3,683 sales, leading to a year-to-date tally up 29.5% to 46,168. Skoda (+14.1%) remains in the brands pole position with a splendid 13.2% share vs. 11% year-to-date but stays in third place YTD. It towers above Volkswagen (-21.8%) and Renault (+13.4%) at 9.4% and 8.3% share respectively. Dacia (+40.2%) and Kia (+83.8%) post fantastic gains to round out the Top 5, with Hyundai (+15.8%) all strong at #6 as are Peugeot (+24.1%) and Audi (+34.5%). Below, MG (+500%), Seat (+162.9%), Volvo (+64.7%) and BMW (+59.3%) stand out.

Model-wise, the Dacia Sandero (+106.3%) takes charge and makes it a second consecutive month dominated by a Dacia after the Duster topped the charts in August. The Skoda Octavia (-35.8%) takes a harsh hit at #2 while the Renault Clio (+23.7%) is up seven spots on last month to #3 and the VW Tiguan (+40%) up 11 to #4. The Suzuki S-Cross (-1.2%) and Hyundai Tucson (-15.6%) disappoint unlike the Kia Ceed (+142.4%), Skoda Fabia (#8) and Kamiq (+34.5%). Skoda places 6 models in the Top 20: add the Kodiaq (#16), Scala (#19) and Karoq (#20).
