Turkey February 2023: Fiat (+183.5%), Peugeot (+108.3%) stun in record market (+63.4%)

Fiat holds 23.8% of the Turkish market in February.

New light vehicle sales in Turkey surge by a whopping 63.4% year-on-year in February to 81,148 units, smashing the previous February record of 58,504 units established in 2021. The cumulative volume after two months stands at 132,042, up 50.4% over the same period in 2022. Fiat (+183.5%) almost triples its sales year-on-year to 23.8% share, its highest since last July (26.2%) and compared to 11.7% at home in Italy. Fiat more than doubles its volume so far this year (+113.3%). Far below we have Renault (+44.2%) up four spots on January to 10.9% share and Ford (+70.2%) up two to 10% of the market. Peugeot (+108.3%) is up three ranks to #4 ahead of Opel (+69.2%) up 6 and Volkswagen (+75%) down four. Citroen (+91.6%) and Skoda (+76.5%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10.
