Argentina November 2022: Renault (+55.2%), Toyota (+37.1%) shine in market up 17.3%

New vehicle sales in Argentina shoot up 17.3% year-on-year in November to 33,427 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 6.3% to 387,008. The Top 3 brands all vastly outrace the market: Toyota is up 37.1% to 23.6% share vs. 20.7% so far this year, Renault soars 55.2% to 11.6% share vs. 9.8% and Volkswagen surges 30.9% but can’t match its YTD level at 10.8% share vs. 11.7%. Fiat (-8%) is in trouble at #4 with just 8.7% of the market vs. 14% year-to-date. Chevrolet (+45.5%) and Jeep (+34.3%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10 with Mercedes (+10.4%) also up but Nissan (-12.8%), Peugeot (-10.7%) and Ford (-9.3%) recede.
Model-wise, the Fiat Cronos (+0.5%) remains in the lead despite trailing the market by a large margin. It distances the Toyota Hilux (-9.4%) and a Toyota Etios (+175.8%) in sensational shape. After ranking #2 last month, The VW Amarok (+21.3%) falls back to #5 but still manages to outpace the market. The Renault Kangoo (+165%) and Toyota Corolla Cross (+161.3%) both post tremendous gains to end the month at #6 and #8 respectively, with the Renault Sandero (+54.5%) and Toyota Yaris (+50.2%) also very impressive. The Ford Ranger (-5.7%) is eagerly awaiting the new generation at #10. Below, the VW Nivus (+288.6%), VW Polo (+248.3%), Jeep Renegade (+81.4%) and Chevrolet Tracker (+80.1%) stand out.
