Belgium October 2022: Dacia (+57.8%), Volkswagen (+51.9%), Opel (+45.7%) help lift market up 21.6%

Opel sales are up 45.7% year-on-year in October.

30,451 new cars found a buyer in Belgium in October, a 21.6% year-on-year rise. The year-to-date volume now stands at 311,941 units, still down -7.9% over the same period in 2021. BMW (+23.6%) is up two spots on September to reclaim the brands pole position for the first time since July. Volkswagen (+51.9%) soars year-on-year but is relegated to 2nd place above Peugeot (+29.2%) which ensures the entire podium outpaces the market. Mercedes (+8%) is pushy in the current context at #4 while Audi (+32.4%) is also in great shape to round out the Top 5. All remaining Top 10 members beat the market bar Renault (-28.6%). Dacia (+57.8%) is the most dynamic above Opel (+45.7%), Toyota (+40.3%) and Citroen (+25.6%). Further down, Cupra (+249%), Tesla (+156.7%), Alfa Romeo (+143.6%) and DS (+88.5%) stand out.
