Dacia (+79.4%) and Peugeot (+45%) are the biggest gainers in the Top 10 while all other Top 10 brands are in negative: Fiat (-10.5%) and Citroen (-8.6%) lose share year-on-year just as Kia (-3.3%) ends the month just above the market’s decline rate. Cupra (+177.8%) and Mercedes (+120.5%) impress below.
The Skoda Octavia (+18.4%) takes the lead for the 2nd time in the past three months with 3.5% share and a 6-unit advantage over the VW T-Roc (+46.7%) also in outstanding shape. The T-Roc is now just 6 sales below the Renault Clio (-32.1%), down to a paltry #19 for the month, for the #1 spot YTD. The Renault Captur (-38%) closes the podium above the Hyundai Tucson (+62.9%) up three spots on July to #4. The VW Tiguan (+67.9%) rounds out the Top 5 in spectacular fashion with the Dacia Sandero (+19.7%) and VW Golf (+12.9%) the only remaining gainers in the Top 10. The VW Polo (-22.5%) and Fiat 500 (-17.6%) are hit the hardest. The Toyota Yaris Cross (#18) reclaims the title of best-selling recent launch off the VW Taigo (#20).
