Scotland (UK) Full Year 2021: Vauxhall Corsa signs 11th win in past 14 years, market up 7.6%

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT, we can share with you a zoom in on Scotland as a UK nation, keep in mind overall UK sales figures have already been analysed in our UK Full Year 2021 update. Scottish new car sales gain 7.6% year-on-year in 2021 to 137,120 units, that’s the largest gain of all UK nations this year. The Vauxhall Corsa (+3.4%) scores an 11th win in the past 14 years, selling almost double any other nameplate in this market. The VW Polo (+6.6%) climbs up two spots to #2 while the Mini (+9.3%) is up four to #3. The Kia Sportage surges from outside the 2020 Top 10 directly to 4th place, while the Ford Fiesta (-39.4%) drops three ranks to #5 just above the Ford Puma (+10%) up three to #6. The Toyota C-HR (#8), Vauxhall Mokka (#9) and Toyota Yaris (#10) make their way into the Top 10. Note the Vauxhall Mokka topped the charts in December, and the MG ZS did so in November.
