Greece November 2021: Peugeot 2008 and 208 top market down -6.2%

The Peugeot 2008 is the best-seller in Greece again in November.

The Greek new car market edges down -6.2% year-on-year to 7,165 registrations, the smallest decline since the market returned to negative in August. The year-to-date tally is now up 27.8% to 95,256 units. After falling to #3 in October, Toyota (+56.3%) reclaims the brands pole position it holds year-to-date with a strong 14.5% share, Peugeot (-8.4%) remains in 2nd place with 11.4% of the market while Hyundai (+91.1%) is down two ranks to #3 but surges year-on-year. Citroen also soars (+74.9%) up 7 spots to #4, as do Kia (+32.9%) down two to #10, BMW (+26.3%) up two to #8, Fiat (+18.2%) up three to #6 and Audi (+14.8%) down two to #7. Outside the Top 10, notice Land Rover (+102.9%), Volvo (+61.4%), Mazda (+53.3%), Dacia (+52.2%) and Jeep (+40.8%) all posting splendid gains whereas Opel (-71.7%), Skoda (-69.6%), Suzuki (-60.5%), Nissan (-59.2%), Renault (-53%) and Volkswagen (-45.1%) all implode.

Model-wise, the Peugeot 2008 (-20.1%) repeats at #1 despite a significant year-on-year loss, and Peugeot manages a sensational 1-2 as it places the 208 (+6.2%) in 2nd place, up 7 ranks on October. The Citroen C3 (+114%) is up 16 spots to #3 ahead of the Toyota C-HR (+105.7%) up one to #4 and the Toyota Aygo (+82.7%) up 46 to #5. Still leader year-to-date, the Toyota Yaris (+26.8%) rallies back up 15 ranks to #6 while the Hyundai i20 (-6.2%) is down five to #7. The Volvo XC40 (+68.6%) also impresses in the remainder of the Top 10 but the Nissan Qashqai (-56.1%) and Toyota Corolla (-25.2%) disappoint. The Toyota Yaris Cross (#27) leads recent launches as it gains 22 ranks on last month, it distances the Citroen C4 (#42), Tesla Model Y (#62) and Hyundai Bayon (#65).
