The Mazda CX-30 is the favourite vehicle in Colombia again.
New vehicle sales in Colombia soar 23.8% year-on-year in September to 22.834 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 50.4% to 178.232. Renault (+16.2%) easily remains in the brands top spot with 19% share vs. 20.7% so far this year. It is followed by Mazda (+91.6%) and Nissan (+92.4%) both vastly outpacing the market growth, as do Kia (+52%), Suzuki (+97%) and Toyota (+31.1%) just below. Chevrolet (-64.5%) is once again devastated by the microchip crisis and falls to just 5.5% share vs. 13.9% year-to-date. Hyundai (+116.9%) and Volkswagen (+36.4%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, Subaru (+240%), DFSK (+148.2%), Kenworth (+123.8%), Citroen (+114.4%), Honda (+100.7%), Audi (+99%), Hino (+98.1%) and Seat (+97.6%) stand out.
Model-wise, the Mazda CX-30 (+83.3%) confirms it is the favourite of Colombian crowds and the only model to sell upwards of 1.000 units this month. The Renault Duster (+72.2%) is up three spots on August to land in 2nd place overall, distancing the Kia Picanto (+57.2%) also in outstanding shape. The Renault Sandero Stepway (+18.5%) follows in 4th while the Mazda CX-5 (+185.9%) surges 35 ranks on last month to #5. The Ford Ranger (+219.3%), Suzuki Vitara (+78.2%), Renault Sandero (+33.7%) and Logan (+28.3%) also outrun the market in the remainder of the Top 10.
