Hyundai sales more than double year-on-year in Colombia in October.
New vehicle sales in Colombia jump 11.8% year-on-year in October to 23,343 units, leading to a year-to-date volume up 44.6% to 201,575. Renault (-27.5%) doesn’t benefit from the market uptick at all and falls to 14.6% share vs. 20% year-to-date but keeps the top spot. In contrast Toyota (+74.6%) is up four spots on last month to land in 2nd place overall with 10.5% of the market vs. 7.7% so far this year. Chevrolet (-30%) continues to suffer but rallies back up four ranks on September to #3. Hyundai (+115.6%), Volkswagen (+80.2%), Suzuki (+79.1%), Nissan (+22.7%) and Kia (+18.9%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10 while Mazda (+12%) matches the market and Ford (+5.2%) is weaker albeit in positive territory. Further down, DFSK (+151.9%), International (+148%), Kenworth (+121.4%), Honda (+70.1%) and Fiat (+55.2%) stand out.
Over in the models ranking, the Mazda CX-30 remains the favourite, with the Renault Duster in 2nd place like last month. The Chevrolet Joy rallies back up from outside the September Top 75 directly to #3 as adequate supply returns, it distances the Renault Sandero Stepway and Kia Picanto. The Suzuki Vitara edges up one spot on September to #6, the VW Gol is up 13 to #7 and the Toyota Corolla Cross up 26 to #8. Notice also the VW Voyage up 23 to #10, the Suzuki Baleno up 18 to #12 and the Chevrolet Captiva up 9 to #13.
