Tesla is the 8th best-selling brand in Singapore in August.
New car sales in Singapore skid down -32.3% year-on-year in August to just 3.505 registrations, yet the year-to-date tally easily remains in positive at +23.5% to 32.728. Toyota (-10.2%) outperforms the market to cling to the brands pole position with 21.6% share vs. 20.5% so far this year. BMW (-11.9%) also resists well in second place while Mercedes (-33%) matches the market at #3 and Honda (-64.4%) implodes at #4. Hyundai (+3.7%) posts the only year-on-year gain in the Top 5, distancing Mazda (-16.2%) and Audi (-22.1%). Tesla surges 8150% year-on-year to break into the Top 10 at #8 while Kia (-44.9%) and Nissan (-62.6%) struggle at the tail end of the Top 10. MG (+38.7%) and Ferrari (+40%) shine further down.
