Bulgaria July 2021: Dacia (+58.7%), Peugeot (+58.5%) shine in stable market (-0.6%)
The Dacia Duster is the best-selling vehicle in Bulgaria in July.
New light vehicle sales in Bulgaria are stable in July at -0.6% year-on-year to 3.521 registrations, bringing the year-to-date volume up 24.5% to 19.660 units. Brand leader Dacia (+58.7%) ignores the lukewarm context to shoot up to 18.4% share vs. 14.6% so far this year. Peugeot (+58.5%) also posts a fantastic uptick and advances one spot on June to #2 brand overall, toppling Renault (-47.6%) and now up to #5 year-to-date. Toyota (+14.7%) is also strong in 4th place but is followed by three freefalling carmakers: Nissan (-35.6%), Volkswagen (-19.2%) and Skoda (-30.3%). Hyundai (+207.9%), Ford (+70.7%) and Kia (+12.3%) round out the Top 10 in dynamic fashion. Further down, Seat (+388.9%), Land Rover (+166.7%), Fiat (+112.5%), Suzuki (+73.2%) and Mazda (+53.5%) are also very strong.
Over in the models ranking, the Dacia Duster climbs five spots on last month to take the overall lead with 8.8% share, toppling YTD leader the Dacia Dokker at 6.5%. The Duster is now #3 year-to-date. The Nissan Qashqai remains in third place at 5.5% of the market, distancing the Peugeot 2008 up four ranks to #4 and the Peugeot 208 up two to #5. Below, the Renault Master, Dacia Sandero and Renault Clio all lose spots vs. June while the Toyota Corolla and Skoda Octavia exchange positions at the tail end of the Top 10. Formidable gainers vs. last month include the Mercedes GLE up 80 spots to #12, the VW T-Cross up 34 to #17, VW Polo up 78 to #19, the Renault Captur up 22 to #24 and the Seat Leon up 96 to #30.
