The Tesla Model 3 is the best-selling vehicle in Israel in June.
Thanks to our local partner cartube.co.il, we can share with you today Israeli brands and models data for June and Q2. The market is up a fantastic 49.5% year-on-year to 31.722 registrations and up 45.3% on pre-pandemic levels of June 2019. Year-to-date, sales are now up 54.1% to 183.801 and up 16.3% on the same period two years ago. A very dynamic market indeed. Hyundai (+76.7%) cements its market lead at 16.3% share vs. 15.9% so far this year, distancing Toyota (+58.3%) and Kia (+53.6%) as per the YTD order while Skoda (-5.6%) goes backwards but manages to stay at #4. The performance of the month goes to Tesla, up 7 spots on May to 5th place overall with just under 6% share, by far its best scores in Israel so far. Nissan (+222.4%) and Mazda (+57%) also outpace the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, notice MG (+443.3%), Opel (+251.7%), Isuzu (+146.2%) and Land Rover (+102.1%) posting stunning year-on-year gains.
Model-wise, over Q2 2021 the Toyota Corolla (+128.6%) and Hyundai Ioniq (+255.8%) hold onto the top 2 spots they also occupy YTD with 4.7% and 4.4% share respectively. The Skoda Octavia (+186.7%) climbs onto the podium at #3 vs. #5 so far this year. The Tesla Model 3 shoots up to #4 over the period with 3.2% share but is the outright best-seller in June above the Hyundai Ioniq and Toyota Corolla. The Toyota RAV4 (+140.5%), Kia Picanto (+70.6%), Hyundai Tucson (+290%) and i10 (+89.1%) follow while the Kia Sportage (+141.9%) and Niro (+85.4%) round out the Top 10. Other recent launches include the Kia Seltos (#27), Cupra Formentor (#44), MG EHS (#48), Chevrolet Trailblazer (#70) and Ford Puma (#73).
