Toyota (-14.4%) easily reclaims the brands top spot despite losing ground year-on-year and holds 16% of the market vs. 14.8% so far in 2021. Dacia (+71.1%) surges ahead to remain in 2nd place with 11.5% share vs. 10.2% YTD. Peugeot (+42.9%) and Ford (+47.5%) also score fantastic gains and are both up two spots on last month to rank 3rd and 4th respectively. Freak leader in April, Citroen (+13.5%) trails the market this month and is back down to the #5 spot it holds year-to-date. Nissan (+112.5%) posts the largest gain in the Top 10 and Subaru (+52.6%) is up 5 spots on last month to #7. Notice also Renault, a lot less successful here than in metropolitan France at a paltry 8th place with 4% share. Among the Chinese brands present here, FAW is up two spots to #13, MG stays at #14 and BYD and Changan are both up 7 ranks to #23 and #24 respectively.

Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (+18.4%) is back up 5 spots on April to reclaims the lead with 6.7% share, just 3 units above the year-to-date leader, the Dacia Duster (+50%). The Sandero (+255.6%) is up 10 ranks to make it two Dacias on the podium. The Peugeot 208 (-4.2%) follows and is in difficulty, while the Nissan Navara (+320%) and Ford Ranger (-16.7%) make it three pickups in the Top 6. Outstanding performances of the Toyota RAV4 (+111.1%) and Subaru XV (+42.9%) in the remainder of the Top 10 while the Ford Puma scores its first Top 10 finish since last February. Notice also the FAW Bestune T77 breaking into the Top 30 at #23 for its second month in market.
