The Turkish new light vehicle market continues on its record streak with sales up 24.1% to 58.504, believed to be a new all-time February high eclipsing the previous best of 57.246 from February 2015. The year-to-date tally is now up 37.4% to 102.232 units, also a new record after two months. Fiat (+85.5%) not only vastly outsells all other brands in market at 18.7% share, it also outperforms them this month, lodging the largest year-on-year gain in the Top 12. In contrast Renault (-15.3%), although back up three spots on January to #2, signs the only year-on-year drop in the Top 10. Skoda (+72.5%), Toyota (+35.3%) and Ford (+28.8%) also outpace the market in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, Nissan (+374.9%), Iveco (+151.8%), Mitsubishi (+146.7%), Ssangyong (+77.8%), Volvo (+66%) and Kia (+49%) stand out.
Over in the models ranking, the Fiat Egea (+80.8%) easily reclaims the top spot, reaching its highest share since last November at 11.9%. The Toyota Corolla (+54.8%) more than doubles the market growth rate to rank #2 while the Ford Transit/Tourneo Courier (+70.6%) also impresses in third place as does the Fiat Doblo (+110.3%) up 11 ranks on last month to #5. Both the Renault Clio (-11.6%) and Megane (-36.1%) struggle.
