Israel January 2021: Mazda (+54.9%), Renault (+72.8%) headline record January (+15.6%), Seres lands

Mazda sales in Israel start the year with a 54.9% lift.

Thanks to our Israeli partner cartube.co.il, we can share with you today brands data for this market, models data is available quarterly. Israeli volumes soar 15.6% year-on-year to hit an all-time record high for January at 48.242 units. Hyundai (+9.4%) slightly underperforms but reclaims the brands top spot after falling to #5 in December. Just like over the Full Year 2020, it is followed by Toyota (+15.6%) matching the market and Kia (+4.3%) a little weak. Mazda (+54.9%) is up 3 spots on its FY2020 level to 4th place with 6.9% vs. 4.5% over FY2020, with Renault (+72.8%) and Seat (+34%) also posting splendid gains in the remainder of the Top 10. Further down, Opel (+664.6%), Ford (+190.9%), Jeep (+137.6%), Subaru (+111.9%), BMW (+94.4%), Volvo (+36.5%) and Peugeot (+35.5%) also make themselves noticed. We welcome two new carmakers in the Israeli charts this month: Cupra and Chinese Seres in what is its first ever appearance outside China.
