Wales Full Year 2020: Vauxhall Corsa overtakes Ford Fiesta, MG ZS on podium

New car sales in Wales skid down -24.7% year-on-year in 2020 to 59.594 units, this is however the best hold of any UK nation. This year the Vauxhall Corsa surges 39.2% to easily secure the pole position, annihilating its archenemy and last year’s leader the Ford Fiesta (-45.5%). The other hero of the year is the MG ZS (+6.8%): after snapping its very first annual Top 10 finish in 2019 at #8, it is up 5 spots to deliver its first ever podium finish in any UK nation at #3. Below the Ford Focus (-27.7%) remaining at #4, we welcome three newcomers in the Top 10: the Vauxhall Grandland X climbs directly to #5, the Ford Puma lands at #6 which is its highest annual ranking in any UK nation and the Vauxhall Crossland X arrives at #10.
