Slovakia September-October 2020: Renault survives rollercoaster months (+30.9% then -29.1%)
In October, Renault sales are up 28.1% in a market down -29.1%.
In September, the Slovak new car market rallies back up 30.9% year-on-year to 6.350 registrations, setting the year-to-date tally down -27.3% to 55.607. Skoda (+9.9%) trails the market bit posts a fantastic 25.1% share, distancing Kia (+21%) at 9% and Hyundai (+7.9%) at 8.6%. Toyota (+76.1%) signs the biggest gain in the Top 5 while Renault (+217%), Peugeot (+142.7%), Dacia (+96.1%) and BMW (+66.2%) are all absolutely euphoric in the remainder of the Top 10.
In October, new car sales in Slovakia are back in hell with a -29.1% year-on-year drop to 6.694 units, bringing the year-to-date volume off -27.4% to 62.301. Skoda (-21.7%) this time manages to outpace the market with a splendid 25.7% share, while Kia (-10.3%) posts the best performance on the podium and hits 9.9% share above Hyundai (-33%) at 8.8%. Renault (+28.1%) soars 4 spots on last month to #4 and signs the only year-on-year gain in the Top 14, let alone a double-digit one. SSangyong (+200%), Land Rover (+100%), Jeep (+21.6%), Lexus (+18.2%) score the only additional gains in the entire market.
