Cyprus September 2020: VW T-Roc snaps third ever win in market back in decline (-13.2%)
The VW T-Roc is the best-selling vehicle in Cyprus in September.
According to our data partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, new car sales in Cyprus fall back into double-digit losses in September at -13.2% year-on-year to 862 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally off -20.3% to 7.539. This month the VW T-Roc (+312.5%) is up 4-fold on its year-ago volume to snap its third ever monthly win in Cyprus after May and December 2019. It climbs back up to #4 YTD as a result which is the same ranking it held over the FY2019. The Kia Stonic (+25.6%) is back up two spots on August to #2, cementing its YTD leadership and distancing the Hyundai Tucson (+50%), Nissan Qashqai (-5.9%) and Juke (+40%). The Toyota C-HR (+3.8%) and VW T-Cross (+316.7%) ensure the Top 7 is 100% made of SUVs.
