Cyprus Full Year 2022: Toyota Yaris grabs lead in solid market (+9.4%)

According to our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, Cyprus new car sales rise 9.4% year-on-year in 2022 to 11,627 units. The Toyota Yaris (+79.1%) leaps up five spots on last year to grab the annual pole position with 6% share. Note it is possible that this figure includes the Yaris Cross. The VW T-Roc (+8%) remains in 2nd place while the Hyundai Tucson (+2.6%) is up one to #3 as is the Toyota C-HR (+9.3%) at #4. Reversely the Kia Stonic (-5.6%) drops two ranks to #5. The Kia Picanto (+181.2%), Ceed (+125.1%) and Rio (+42.9%) all manage fantastic gains in the remainder of the Top 10. Leader last year, the Kia Sportage (-32.6%) drops to #7, making it five Kias in the Top 9. Below, the Mini (+491.7%), Jeep Wrangler (+154.3%), Toyota Corolla (+112.5%), Skoda Kamiq (+33.3%), Dacia Duster (+25.4%), Audi Q3 (+21.1%) and Jeep Renegade (+17.1%) also shine.
