Israel August 2020: Skoda (+77.2%), Mazda (+77.6%), Peugeot (+61.8%) help tilt market back in positive (+4.2%)

Thanks to our partnership with cartube.co.il, we can share with you today August brands data for Israel – models data are a quarterly occurrence. After two single-digit drops in June and July, the Israeli new car market scores its first year-on-year gain since February in August at +4.2% to 20.090 units, leading to a year-to-date tally off -19.1% to 162.080. Hyundai (+11.5%) and Kia (+20.6%) top the brands charts with sturdy gains, but the  best performer near the top is Skoda (+77.2%) scoring its 2nd podium finish in 21 months at #3 alongside last April when it ranked #3 also. Down to #4, Toyota (-39.1%) endures the only decline in the Top 8. Mazda (+77.6%), Peugeot (+61.8%), Mitsubishi (+46.9%) and Seat (+22.4%) also shine and post the only additional double-digit gains in the remainder of the Top 15. Further down, Chrysler (+112.5%), Ssangyong (+109.1%), Ford (+90.3%), Land Rover (+64.7%), MG (+54.1%), Volvo (+42.5%), Cadillac (+40.0%), Jeep (+28.4%), Lexus (+19.7%) and Mercedes (+15.2%) stand out.
