Full BSCB interview in French newspaper Le Monde

After January 2019 (world car market), April 2019 (Chinese market) and April 2020 (Coronavirus impact), BSCB and I are featured for the 4th time in French newspaper Le Monde, one of the most important and widely respected newspapers in the world according to Wikipedia. It’s always an honour to appear in such a prestigious publication, thanks to our close collaboration with Le Monde journalist Éric Béziat. This time in the article, published in the 15 July 2020 edition, I personally answer four questions about the consequences of the coronavirus crisis on public transport usage in China. This is part of a two-page study on the weakness of public transport usage recovery post-lockdown in France, my interview bringing an international perspective on the subject. I cover bus, train (down) and bicycle (up) public usage in China, the new car sales boost there partly triggered by a fear of public transport but also a complete reshuffling of holiday destinations within China as customers continue to avoid flying.

My interview is below, you can consult the full dossier on Page 14 and 15 of the 15 July 2020 digital edition of Le Monde here.
