BSCB featured anew in French newspaper Le Monde
After January 2019 (world car market) and April 2019 (Chinese market), BSCB and I are featured for the third time in French newspaper Le Monde, one of the most important and widely respected newspapers in the world according to Wikipedia. The article, published in yesterday’s edition (dated March 23) explores how different world car markets and manufacturers are affected by the coronavirus crisis. Although I am only quoted at the very end of the article (red frame above) about how the Chinese new car market is already seeing a rebound at +14% year-on-year in the week of April 7-12, I provided quite a few other points throughout the article, including how U.S. pickup sales were less affected in March due to their success in only partially locked down rural areas, and how carmakers that are almost entirely dependent on one region, such as Suzuki (India), PSA (Europe) and Subaru (USA) are more vulnerable were the lockdowns currently in place in these regions to be extended significantly. You can consult the full article on Page 12 of the 23 April 2020 digital edition of Le Monde here. Monthly subscriptions are free for the first month.
