The Dacia Sandero remains the #1 vehicle in Algeria in 2019.
The Algerian new light vehicle market drops -4% year-on-year in 2019 to 118.689 registrations, however with most manufacturers having interrupted local production, such as Seat in September, 2020 volumes will be minimal. The brands and models trios are unchanged on 2018: Renault (-1.4%) cements its lead ahead of Dacia (-31%) giving the Renault Group a 50.5% market share vs. 56.7% a year ago, with Seat (+0.8%) rounding out the podium once again. The Dacia Sandero (-31%) remains the most popular vehicle in the country despite a dramatic fall, while the Renault Symbol (-21.9%) holds onto the 2nd spot by the skin of its teeth ahead of the Renault Clio IV (+35%).
