The Toyota Corolla is the best-selling vehicle in Pakistan in February.
Sales of locally-made cars in Pakistan continue to fall apart in February at -38.5% year-on-year to just 12.119 units, pulling the year-to-date volume down -43.1% to 24.020. Note only sales of locally-produced models are available in Pakistan which in fact is a pretty accurate picture of the best-selling nameplates in the country as high duties limit the number of new cars imported. Suzuki (-50.4%) once again falls even faster than the market, resulting in a reduced 44.4% share whereas Toyota (-18.4%) resists well to surge to 37.2% and Honda drops -34.7% to 17.7%. Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla (-24.9%) repeats at #1 just as the honeymoon period for the new Suzuki Alto is now really looking like coming to an end, the star nameplate of the past few months dropping to 13.4% share, its lowest in a full month after a peak of 41.9% last September.
