Kazakhstan January 2020: Hyundai (+42.7%) sports 5th straight win in market up 20.5%

Hyundai sales are up 42.7% in January and the Tucson ranks #3.

New vehicle sales in Kazakhstan start the year in spectacular fashion, with January volumes up 20.5% year-on-year to 5.344. Hyundai (+42.7%) easily outpace the galloping market to secure a 5th consecutive monthly win at 21.3% share, not far from the all-time high of 22% it reached last November. Lada (-9.7%) is outclassed at just 17.2% share vs. 20.5% over the FY2019, while Toyota (-26.6%) freefalls at 13.3%, just above returning brand Ravon at 12.3%. Renault (+66%) and Kia (+55.8%) also shine in the Top 10 but Nissan (-18%) and Volkswagen (-15.7%) struggle. Model-wise, the Lada Granda (+10.6%) edges up one spot on December to reclaim the #1 ranking for the first time since February 2019, only 9 sales above the Ravon Nexia R3. The Hyundai Tucson (+15.3%), Creta (+196.4%) and Toyota Camry (-47%) follow to round out the Top 5 just ahead of a Kia Rio (+82.1%) in great shape. Ravon also places the R4 at #8 with the Renault Arkana (#29) topping “true” new launches once again.
