Jordan Full Year 2019: Hyundai Tucson leads, hits 13.1% share in market up 4.5%

New vehicle sales in Jordan edge up 4.5% year-on-year in 2019 to 30.904 units. Toyota (+18.8%) and Hyundai (+20.7%) both post very impressive gains atop the brands ranking, hitting 31.3% and 24.9% share respectively, whereas Kia (-30.9%) implodes to 11.8% vs. 17.8% a year ago in 2018. Isuzu (+66.7%) overtakes Nissan (-30.4%) to rank #4 overall with Mitsubishi (+6.9%) and Lexus (-20.5%) in tow like last year. Renault (+59.4%), Honda (+53.2%) and Ford (+42.3%) stun just below and Suzuki (+10.4%) also posts a sturdy gain in the Top 10. Further down, Cadillac (+100%), Opel (+89.4%), Infiniti (+83.3%) and Jaguar (+11.6%) stand out.

In the models ranking, the Hyundai Tucson (+118.5%) posts a spectacular surge to easily snap its first ever Jordanian pole position with a mammoth 13.1% share. It topples last year’s leader the Toyota Land Cruiser (-1.6%) at 10.9% while the medium commercial vehicle Isuzu N-Series (+169.7%) almost triples its sales year-on-year and jumps 11 spots to land on the third step of the podium. The Toyota Hilux (+26.1%) and Land Cruiser Pickup (+45.5%) round out the Top 5, with the Mitsubishi L200 (+133.1%), Kia Cerato (+79%) and Toyota Corolla (+18.5%) also scoring impressive gains in the remainder of the Top 10. The Hyundai Creta (#20) is the most popular 2019 launch ahead of the Kia Pegas (#36).
