Kazakhstan November 2019: Hyundai breaks share record at 22% in market up 33.2%
The Accent (+124.5%) helps push Hyundai to a new share record.
The Kazakh new vehicle market enjoys an 8th double-digit year-on-year gain in the past 9 months in November with registrations soaring +33.2% to 7.579 units and lifting the year-to-date tally up 13.1% to 66.440. Hyundai (+62.8%) breaks its share record for the third time in the past 6 months at 22%, also posting a 4th ever monthly win in the Kazakh brands ranking. The Korean carmaker overtakes Toyota (+25.6%) to advance to #2 YTD and is now 564 sales below Lada (+16.4%) with only one month to go in 2019, a sizeable but not unsurmountable gap. Lexus (+63.3%), Kia (+44.8%) and UAZ (+42.9%) also outpace the market in the Top 10, while Ravon cements its return at #4 and 8.3% share and Nissan (-5.9%) endures the only drop among the 10 best-selling brands. Further down, BMW (+126.1%), Mazda (+83.3%) and JAC (+55.4%) stand out.
In the models ranking, the Toyota Camry (+37.6%) holds onto the top spot but the Hyundai Tucson (+90.3%) is up two spots on last month to lurk just 22 units below. The Hyundai Accent (+124.5%) and Lada Granta (+151.9%) follow, both overtaking the Ravon Nexia R3 down three ranks to #5. Only the Kia Rio (+239.8%) and Hyundai Creta (+164.4%) manage to outpace the market in the remainder of the Top 10, with the Renault Arkana (#32) the most popular new launch.
