The Kazakh new vehicle market puts an end to 6 consecutive months of double-digit gains in September, but by the skin of its teeth: up a still very impressive 9.9% to 6.238 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 18.8% to 51.863. Hyundai surges 56% to 21.6% share, topping the Kazakh brands ranking for the 2nd time ever after last June, eclipsing its all-time share record of 21.3% also established last June. Toyota (+5.1%) is also up one spot on last month to #2, while last month’s leader, Lada (-27.9%) free falls to #3. Ravon confirms it’s back on track with 9% share, its highest since March 2018. JAC (+334.8%), Isuzu (+115.8%), BMW (+51.5%), Renault (+25.8%), Mitsubishi (+19.2%) and Subaru (+12.1%) also shine in the remainder of the Top 20. Model-wise, the Toyota Camry (+40.3%) easily retains the top spot with the Ravon Nexia R3 up 3 spots on August to #2 and the Hyundai Tucson (+39%) and Accent (+183.3%) in tow. There is only one Lada in the Top 5 like last month: the Vesta (+3.6%) at #5. The Hyundai Elantra (+31.5%) also shines in the Top 10.
