Morocco September 2019: Dacia (+36.4%), Hyundai (+15.7%), Opel (+136.7%) lift market to first year-on-year gain of the year (+9.2%)

Dacia sales are up 36.4% year-on-year in Morocco in September.

The Moroccan new light vehicle market signs its first solid year-on-year gain of the year in September at +9.2% to 12.847 units including 11.110 passenger cars (+7.8%) and 1.737 light commercials (+25.2%). The year-to-date volume remains however frankly in negative at -8.6% to 116.863 including 104.369 passenger cars (-11.2%) and 12.494 LCVs (+22.3%). Dacia (+36.4%) is not only the runaway brand leader at 29.9% of the PC market, but also the best performer in the Top 8, only bettered by Opel (+136.7%) in the Top 10. Renault (+9.4%) matches the market at #2 ahead of Volkswagen (-9.3%) in difficulty while Hyundai (+15.7%) signs the third best progression in the Top 10. Nissan (-35.1%), Peugeot (-27.7%), Fiat (-17.7%), Citroen (-9.4%) and Toyota (-4.6%) suffer.
