Cyprus July 2019: Kia Sportage drives to #1 in market up 13.5%

The Kia Sportage is the best-selling vehicle in Cyprus in July.

Based on data shared with us by our local partners SEMO Cyprus and INNOSOFT, new car sales in Cyprus gain a sturdy 13.5% year-on-year in July to 1.292 units, meaning the year-to-date tally is now down -10.5% to 7.833. With 70 sales and 5.4% share, the Kia Sportage easily tops the July charts, becoming the third Kia to top the Cyprus monthly ranking in 2019 after the Stonic (March) and Cee’d (April and June). The Toyota Yaris (-5%) remains in 2nd place and sees its consistency rewarded with the YTDF pole position. The Hyundai Tucson (+22.9%), Nissan Qashqai (-11.6%) and Toyota RAV4 (+118.8%) complete a Top 5 almost exclusively composed of crossovers. The Toyota Corolla (+3100%), Ford Fiesta (+328.6%) and Kia Stonic (+287.5%) also post spectacular gains in the Top 10 while we have no less than 3 recent launches (<12 months) inside the July Top 20: the Hyundai Kona (#11), i10 (#15) and i20 (#17).
