Vietnam June 2019: Toyota (+77%), Ford (+105.3%), Mitsubishi (+878.8%) lift market up 25.6%
The Toyota Vios holds 12.4% of the Vietnamese market in June.
New vehicle sales in Vietnam surge 25.6% year-on-year to 27.520 registrations in June, lifting the year-to-date volume up 23.2% to 154.849 units. Toyota soars 77% to 27.4% share vs. 23.9% so far this year, easily distancing Thaco-Kia (-6.6%) at 16.5% while Honda (+32.7%), Ford (+105.3%) and Mitsubishi (+878.8%) also stun. Suzuki (+30.6%) and Isuzu (+24.2%) are also very dynamic in the remainder of the brands charts. Model-wise, after holding onto the top spot for a mere 7 units last month, the Toyota Vios (+66.1%) is back to its ultra-dominant self sat 12.4% share, more than double the score of the #2, still the Mitsubishi Xpander at 6% of the Vietnamese market. The Ford Ranger shoots up 195-fold on June 2018 to #3, with the Honda CR-V (+38.4%) also in outstanding shape in the Top 10.
