The Dacia Duster scores its very first podium in Slovakia in April.
The Slovak new car market gains 5.8% year-on-year in April to 8.894 registrations, tilting the year-to-date volume into positive at +0.1% to 32.791. The top 2 brands Skoda (-0.2%) and Volkswagen (-7%) go against the grain with disappointing losses, whereas Hyundai (+17.8%) and further down Opel (+48.8%), Renault (+43.2%), Peugeot (+23.9%), Dacia (+23.5%) and Citroen (+15.9%) all frankly outpace the market in the Top 10. Beyond, Lexus (+140%), Porsche (+107.7%), Land Rover (+64.5%), Jeep (+50%), Mitsubishi (+40%), Lada (+39.6%) and Jaguar (+37.5%) shine. The Skoda Fabia (+16.3%) remains in the lead while the Skoda Octavia (+28.3%) reclaims the #2 spot it holds year-to-date and both the Dacia Duster (+164.3%) and Renault Clio (+214.1%) post stellar performances in the remainder of the Top 4, the Duster scoring its very first Slovak podium finish. The Hyundai i20 climbs into the YTD Top 10.
