Jordan January-May 2019: Toyota (+19.9%), Hyundai (+17.6%) top market down -9%
The Toyota Land Cruiser holds an imposing 15.9% share of the Jordanian market so far in 2019.
The Jordanian new car market slows down its fall in this start of 2019 at -9% year-on-year to 12.556 sales. Toyota (+19.9%) and Hyundai (+17.6%) go well against the grain to cement their domination, adding up to 57.5% share. Ford (+106%), Isuzu (+66.2%), Honda (+61.1%), Suzuki (+38%) and Nissan (+8.3%) also shine in the Top 10 whereas Kia (-66.8%) and Lexus (-48.7%) implode. Model-wise, the Toyota Land Cruiser (+39.2%) tightens its grip on the market to 15.9% share, with the Hyundai Tucson (+84.7%) and Toyota Hilux (+13.5%) in tow. The Isuzu N-Series (+354.7%) and Nissan Patrol (+120.5%) ensure the Top 5 is entirely in positive territory.
