March new light vehicle sales in Thailand gain 8.5% to reach 103.164 units, meaning the Q1 volume is now up 11.3% to 263.549. Toyota (+27.1%) once again vastly outpaces the market to hit 32.9% share, almost double its archenemy Isuzu (-7.4%) in difficulty at 16.9% of the market. And the rest of the Top 10 is globally struggling, with only Mitsubishi (+25.4%) and Nissan (+11.3%) standing out but Ford (-17.6%), Mazda (-7.7%), Suzuki (-7%) and Chevrolet (-6.7%) all in dire straits. Further down, Foton (+485.7%), Kia (+248.6%), Ssangyong (+150%), Volvo (+92.9%), Porsche (+69.6%), BMW (+30.2%) and Hyundai (+25.5%) stand out. Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux (+36.4%) reclaims control of the ranking ahead of the Isuzu D-Max (-6.6%) but the Ford Ranger (-14.2%) is in difficulty. The Mazda2 (+3.8%) is the best-selling passenger car again but this time the Toyota Yaris (+16.3%) is only 330 sales below. The Toyota Yaris Ativ (+38.7%), Nissan Navara (+23.3%), Toyota Fortuner (+21.7%) and Honda City (+20.4%) also shine in the Top 10 while the Mitsubishi Xpander is the most popular newcomer at #14.
