Rep of Macedonia June 2018: Dacia Duster back in charge

The Dacia Duster is back atop the Macedonian sales charts.

According to our Eastern European data specialist partner CE Auto, 595 new cars found a buyer in the Republic of Macedonia in June, lifting the year-to-date tally to 2.955. Market leader in 2016 and 2017, the Dacia Duster had endured a severe sales slump during the generation changeover, but it is now over with the low-cost SUV rallying back up 7 spots on May to snap the pole position for the first time since last September with a strong 5.4% share. The road back to annual leadership may be strenuous though, with the Duster now ranking #6 YTD with 2.7% share vs. 3.7% for the Kia Sportage, leader so far in 2018 and #2 with 4.7% in June. The Skoda Rapid leaps up to #3 to round up the podium.
