Latvia Full Year 2017: Nissan Qashqai #1, Toyota C-HR #9, five SUVs in Top 10

The Latvian new car market is up 2% year-on-year in 2017 to 16.692 registrations. The Nissan Qashqai manages to clock in a third consecutive year in pole position, beating the market with a 4% gain to 4.8% share. The next four best-sellers all post double-digit gains: the VW Golf and Passat are both up 21% to #2 and #3 respectively while the Kia Sportage surges 37% to #4 and the Toyota RAV4 is up 12% to #4. The VW Tiguan is up 17% to #7 and we have three new entrants in the Latvian Top 10 for 2017: the Toyota Auris at #8 despite a 5% decline, the Kia Cee’d up 20% and 11 spots to #10 and the all-new Toyota C-HR, launched in December 2016 and up to #9 for its first full year on the Latvian market.
