The Slovenian new car market is up a very robust 16% year-on-year in June to 7.555 registrations, lifting the year-to-date tally up 12% to 39.032. Volkswagen beats the market at +23% to consolidate its pole position in the brands ranking with 15.4% share, ahead of Renault up just 6% to 13.3%. Below, Opel (+31%), Skoda (+35%) and Dacia (+42%) all post spectacular gains within the Top 5. Further down, Nissan (+22%), Toyota (+74%), Mercedes (+23%), Mazda (+41%), Suzuki (+44%), Honda (+54%) and Mitsubishi (+82%) all shine. Model-wise, for the first time since last September, the VW Golf (+62%) overtakes the Renault Clio (-9%) to claim the June pole position at 5.4% share vs. 4.9% nut the Clio remains comfortably in the YTD lead. All within the Top 10, the Skoda Octavia (+52%), Dacia Duster (+8 spots on May), Opel Corsa (+115%), Renault Megane (+103%) and Nissan Juke (+177%) all impress while the Renault Kadjar is up 49 ranks on last month and the Fiat Tipo up 23 to #13.
