Slovenia September 2018: Fiat doubles sales in market down 7.3%

New car sales in Slovenia aren’t too dramatically affected by the post-WLTP rush with September registrations down just 7.3% year-on-year to 4.893 units leading to a year-to-date volume up 8% to 58.452. Renault (+27%) even confirms the pole position it held last month with a surprisingly high year-on-year surge to 14.3% share, distancing Volkswagen (-24%) and Skoda (-13%). Fiat (+98%), Peugeot (+27%), Opel (+15%), Kia (+13%) and Citroen (+8%) also post impressive gains inside the Top 10, while further down Jeep (+308%), Jaguar (+167%), Land Rover (+75%) and Mitsubishi (+29%) stand out. The Renault Clio (+73%) is back in the top spot it holds YTD but the most impressive Top 10 nameplates are the Fiat 500 (+2933%), VW Polo (+1725%) and  Peugeot 2008 (+127%). The Fiat Panda (+61%) and Renault Captur (+52%) also deliver very solid gains while there are no less than 3 recent launches (<12 months) inside the Top 20 this month: the VW T-Roc (#12), Skoda Karoq (#13) and Hyundai Kona (#16).
