Moldova March 2016: Hyundai Tucson outsells Dacia Logan

Hyundai Tucson is the best-selling nameplate in 2016 so far in Moldova.

According to data published by Central European market data specialists CE Auto, 304 new light vehicles found new homes in Moldova in March, up 11% year-on-year and lifting the Q1 total to 833 units, up 9% on the same period in 2015. A full decade of domination by the Dacia Logan seems like it could come to an end in 2016 with a serious challenge to the Romanian import taking shape in the form of the all-new Hyundai Tucson, #1 in March with 8.2% share vs. just 3.6% for the Logan. The Tucson leads the year-to-date charts with a strong 9.4% share, distancing the Logan (7.4%) and Logan MCV (4.8%). Notice this month the appearance in 2nd place of the Hyundai Solaris coming straight from Russia – making the Top Two 100% Hyundai.
