Senegal Full Year 2015: Mitsubishi L200 snaps #1 spot off Toyota Hilux
The Mitsubishi L200 is the best-selling vehicle in Senegal in 2015.

The Senegalese new car market is fighting for the title of most dynamic in the world with sales up a whopping 66% year-on-year to 9.735. Toyota manages to frankly beat the market, almost doubling its sales (+91%) to 2.478 for a 25.5% share. It is followed by Mitsubishi up 31% to 12.1% and Ford up 29% to 8.6%, both manufacturers losing market share compared to 2014. Renault shoots up 536% to 4th place with 751 sales, to which can be added 130 Dacia sales. Citroen is up 109% but drops one spot to #5, while Peugeot is down three to #8 and Nissan breaks into the Top 10 thanks to deliveries up 190%.
The Megane (#6) helps Renault up to #4 brand this year.
In the models ranking, we witness a very significant change of guard this year in Senegal: thanks to the new model boosting sales up 51%, the Mitsubishi L200 manages to edge past the Toyota Hilux (+39%) to take the overall lead of the market with 7.8% share. The Toyota RAV4 is up 77% to #3 and the Land Cruiser 70 up 56% to #4. The Renault Megane lands at #6 with 247 sales (vs. none in 2014), the Toyota Corolla is up 9-fold to 207 units at #7 and the Citroen Berlingo and Hyundai Santa Fe both break into the Top 10 as well.
