Slovenia Full Year 2015: Renault Clio celebrates 18 years on top

New car sales in Slovenia are up 12% year-on-year to 59.450 registrations, and the Top 3 most popular manufacturers all lodge the same growth rate this year at +8%: Volkswagen continues to dominate at 15.4% share above Renault (14.1%) and Skoda (9%) with Opel (+13%), Ford (+39%), Nissan (+49%) and Hyundai (+30%) all lodging double-digit gains inside the Top 10 whereas Peugeot (-6%), Dacia (-8%) and Citroen (-20%) all struggle. Notice also Kia up 25%, BMW and Mercedes both up 28%, Mazda up 47%, Mitsubishi up 50%, Suzuki up 72% and Jeep up 487%.

In the models ranking, the Renault Clio celebrates a whopping 18 consecutive years on top, even consolidating its advantage over the #2 thanks to sales up 21% to 4.368 and 7.3% share vs. 2.803 and 4.7%, down 2% for the VW Golf. The VW Polo (-15%) and Skoda Octavia (-4%) remain at #3 and #4 respectively, but the three next best-seller all surge year-on-year: the Skoda Fabia (#5) and VW Passat (#7) are both up 3-fold while the Nissan Juke is up 81% to #6. Further down, notice also the Ford Focus up 121% to #12, the Opel Astra up 43% to #13 and the VW Golf Sportsvan up 67% to a brilliant 15th place. The Hyundai Tucson is the most popular newcomer at #39 above the Suzuki Vitara at #51.
