Happy New Year from BestSellingCarsBlog!
Before we get into the Full Year 2015 Reports on Monday, there are a few countries with November data still outstanding, starting with Portugal. New car sales are up another very dynamic 14% year-on-year this month, lifting the year-to-date total up 26% to 165.361 units. Renault manages to hold onto the brands pole position by the skin of its teeth – exactly five sales, despite volumes up by just 1% to 1.079 vs. 1.074 for Volkswagen (+5%). Peugeot (+10%), BMW (+11%), Mercedes (+31%), Nissan (+28%) and Audi (+24%) follow. Notice also Ford (+38%), Fiat (+42%) and Dacia (+34%) frankly outpacing the market. Model-wise, it’s a pretty uneventful month in Portugal with the Renault Clio (+21%) distancing the VW Golf (-11%) and Peugeot 208 (+28%), while the BMW 1 Series (+38%) is holding strong in 5th place and the Opel Astra up 38% to #11.
