No sign of improvement for the Indonesian new car market, down another 16% year-on-year in October to 88.609 registrations, pulling the year-to-date total to 853.292 deliveries, down 18% on 2014. The Toyota Avanza, with the help of its new generation, continues its one-MPV-show at 15.080 sales and 17.% market share, 3 times the level of the #2, the Daihatsu Gran Max Pikap strong at 4.900 units and 5.5%. The Honda Mobilio is down one spot on September to #3 but maintains itself above its year-to-date level at 5.4% share while the Suzuki Carry Pikap at #4 and 5% share confirms light commercial vehicles are resisting the market recession much better than passenger cars are. At #5, the Toyota Agya is only one percentage point above its twin the Daihatsu Ayla, the Honda Brio Satya and Honda HR-V post very solid results, the Datsun GO+ is back up just outside the Top 10 and the Toyota Hilux continues to climb the Indonesian ladder now that the new generation has spread across the country’s dealerships.
